Until it's the backdrop for one of my horror pieces;^) Congrats, Yvette, lovely poem about how snow's beautiful blanket can temporarily mask some of the life's blemishes. Whether it provides an illusion of serenity or the real thing for snow lovers like me, I feel it is something to celebrate- when it's not wreaking havoc through excess.

LOL! :) You know, I actually have to dig deep to find my zen when it comes to anything winter -- it is my least favorite of the seasons! ;) :) I have found finding 'peaceful' a whole lot easier these past few days now that grades are all in and the year has been officially 'closed out' -- it's summer, Hooray! ;) ;) Thanx for the 'congrats' and you have a wonderful remainder of the week, sir! ;) Yvette

I count 5-7-5 syllable lines. I love the metaphor of snow being nature's cloak to shroud and still this chaotic world. Great artwork choice for this theme!

I like the descriptive wording of this. It does seem like it slows everything down when winter comes. I believe that with the changes of the weather comes changes in our moods and attitudes. I like everything about this well written work. Well done!
