Such love between the two characters! By the final short letter, it makes you wonder if the letters will stop and she'll wonder what happened to him. Nice flow!

What is that people like about reading love letters? I don't know, but I always enjoy them:-) and Billy and Cathy didn't disappoint.
I enjoyed this piece. I do not know the background and then when I am captivated by characters out of 'the blue' to me it means the writing is well done.

This story moves along so well and with such likable characters. I could not stop reading and it made me think of all those young people separated by Vietnam. Some came home and some did not. You've done a good job of describing the love these two have for each other. I'm excited to see what happens next!

The chapter is very well written. I like the letters between the love birds. The two feel very real. There is fantastic imagery and the characters jump out at you. You get a sense of sadness of them being apart because of the war and I found myself hoping for them the war would be over soon. It was very believeable.

Hi Tootie. One of the big reasons I like the story is because of the timeframe. There's a mention of the Beatles on television in the story and I remember one of my classmates had her birthday and her parents invited 10 of us to their house to watch the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I like the dialogue and letters because that is the way people spoke to each other back in those days. Well done.

War is used a lot in writing. It draws the person in and gives them something to be concerned about. I guess that is art resembling life. I love how you have made the entries in letter form. It gives the reader an idea of what people are feeling during these troubling times.

This chapter has many details that make it seem real.
I enjoyed the videos from 1964. What I liked most was
the letters back & forth between Bill & Cathy. It is great
to see that level of love and commitment. Their poems to each
other show true love. The perspective of both is clear.

What a sad but loving story. The love certainly came across very strong. My heart was breaking for both because of being separated by war. There was faith on both sides that they would be together again. I love it and you did a great job with the writing. I didn't see anything to recommend. Shirley
