You did make this poem fun. Boy, I don't think I played strip poker until I was in high school and just with my girlfriend. The thing is, the rule was, she could put on as much clothing as she could get on. I usually ended up in my underwear while she remained fully clothed. Best wishes.

Glad you found the poem fun and that it brought back some fond memories. She won and you both probably had a good laugh. My distant blurred memory remembers that there were several of us, kids in junior high school, that tried to play it, but no details emerge as to who was there or what actually happened.
Appreciate your thoughts. Cheers ... ;o)

Congrats on Second Place! :) This was a great entry for the card-playin' limerick contest this week -- great job! ;) I think what made the claim so lame was that most of us couldn't remember much ... at least not very clearly (lol!) -- thank you for joining us in our card shark shenanigans! ;) ;) Take care! ;) Y. M.

Thanks for creating the contest and allowing a liberal syllable count. I tried and couldn't fit what I wanted to say in the classic limerick format. And, Congrats to you on First Place!. Yes - for most of us, Strip Poker is a distant, blurred memory ... ;o)

This limerick about card games, Strip Poker, has the correct framework, rhyme, and beat, and hearkens back to those delightful children's games we knew our kids were enjoying while we were away.

I plead the fifth. Your poem amusing with a well-known theme of youthful play in strip poker...or so I've been told that such a game exists. I do not recall.

I've heard of this game although I've never played it. I can see this being a game that's popular with party goers and couples. This is quite funny and the artwork is priceless. I enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

Very cute. Love the cartoon chosen to go with your words. Ah yes, those were the days! This is creative and fun and takes us on a short trip down memory lane, well, a few brave souls. Overall, great job. Good Luck!

Well, it's a kind of spur of the moment card game played by frisky youngsters out for a good time. I remember I played it once as a kid and didn't like it. Appreciate your thoughts. Cheers ... ;o)

A very well-written limerick about playing poker where the loser have to take some of his clothes off to show he lost the previous round until he has no clothes on.

Your limerick conjures up images of some fun evenings. I think I'd be the shivering naked one, hopeless at cards because our family never played cards so I never got to practice. I'm pretty good at taking my clothes off though.

Yes, oh shivering naked one, - fun evenings, usually not family oriented but fun times for frisky kids and teenagers. Appreciate your thoughts. Cheers ... ;o)

Though scarcely recognizable as a derivation of the classic limerick, this still does not fall beyond the span of that easygoing prompt, and makes sense...excellent post.

    Thanks - with the liberal syllable counts, this is a 12, 12, 9,9, 12-
I couldn't figure out how to say what I wanted edited down to fit a classic limerick. Glad you liked it, anyway ... ;o)
