Ha-hah!
Rachelle, this is a blast!
I love limericks, and you've done a jamb-up job with this one, not only in humor, but in spot-on form, rhymes, rhythm, and flow, the true essence of this form.
It takes a playfully humorous mindset to write great limericks, and you certainly have the knack ... love the cards and overall presentation, too.

Good stuff, Rachelle ... thanks for sharing!
Wish I had a six left! ~ Richard : )

So glad to share the 'first place flock' with you, Lady Rachelle! :) This was a great entry for the card-playin' limerick contest this week -- great for a laugh, too! ;) Sooooo, you don't mind guys with knobby knees ... good to know (lol!) -- thank you for joining us in our card shark shenanigans! ;) ;) Take care, Beautiful New York Friend! ;) Yvette

This limerick about card games, How to Get Lucky at Cards, has the correct framework, rhyme, and beat, and makes losing one's shirt something to look forward to.

That's funny! I guess, depending on who you're playing with, you can alter any game however you want to. The line "his knees are quite knobby"" is Priceless! I like it and enjoyed this well written offering. Well done!

You should definitely win for fulfilling the writing prompt, Rachelle! Such a fun, silly poem. It's exactly what a limerick should be. And has me running for my poker table:)

So very cute. Esp about the knobby knees part. I can relate to that portion. Creatively done for this topic. You covered all the bases in this one. Great job and good luck!

HELLO POET: I don't play cards because I've never been too good at it. In short; "I can't play." But this game here sounds like fun. Thank you for sharing. You are appreciated. God bless you. Cordially: rhonnie69.
