This well-written flash fiction story mimics today's society it seems. Satire and irony at its best. I love your artwork choice for this story. Good luck in the contest.

Ahhh, but you were there and cared. You pulled yourself back.

I know it is fiction, but it's what came to mind when I read the story.

Take care,
Rhonda

Oops! How very sad! One must be pretty desperate to contemplate suicide. Some people say suicides are cowards, I think the opposite. I wouldn't be brave enough.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

An interesting poem and an interesting plea for help. Because no one was there on the bridge with you doesn't mean that no one cares. Perhaps you were just on the bridge at the wrong time. I wish you well.

a powerful story expressing hope, depression, despair - all in 75 words.
(probably not in that order except for the last one)
I'm glad it is fiction. poor guy.
I wonder what made you think of it.
At any rate, good job and good luck in the contest.

Dramatic story for sure - and I trust the end result was not the jump. HOrrible feeling to be so alone and not find anyone care. God cares - perhaps you know that - and He has your best interest in His plans.
Story held my interest- had drama for sure

I care. I'm here for you (not). This is the real reason so many of us are so messed up. An uncaring world revolving in an empty universe.
There is so MUCH space out there. Why are we so clumped together? Claustrophobia. I can feel it. Nice poem, well received.

Thanks for your read and your comments. Maybe we are clumped together because we need each other. A feeling and a responsibility I believe has left many in this country.
