This ten-word poem, You Are Not What They See, has the required word count and tells us that once we know who we are, others will as well.

This appeals to me. Finding myself got easier when I put down the mirror and wrote about what was hidden from the mirror.
This is a great entry for the ten word poem. Good luck!

This is excellent! You have made effective use of all your words to make a profound statement about self-realization and how to achieve it. The artwork supports your theme perfectly.

I really like this and the awesome and powerful message conveyed in this. When we start looking outside of ourselves looking at others and perhaps helping them is when we might find ourselves. I enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

I couldn't agree more.
Somethin' like 120%... How's that?
Ain't it amazing what we can accomplish
when you're not lookin' at ourselves?
My compliments on your works and your help!

Much meaning in so few words. You must be referring to dropping the shallow approach and searching within for greater purpose or meaning.
Yes, I'm sure I understand. Nicely done.

Isn't this the truth. We are so critical of the way we look in mirrors and take that as our reality. Love this concept of lovingly finding ourselves. Wishing you the best in the contest.

A very well-written ten word poem. We tend to see the outside of ourselves in the mirror and as soon as we turn away we forget what we look like, when we find our inner being we will never forget who we really are.

Indeed : we are not what they see. We are often judged of what we look like. But the real beauty of people is within. ... By the way, as we get older we only see things we do not like LOL. Wonderful 10 words poem and I like the thought. Fia

Oh my goodness but you are so right about that 'seeing what we don't want to see', Fia!! :) ;) Where the heck did all these 'smile lines' come from?? LOL! :) Thanx for stopping in on this one, ma'am -- take care! ;) Yvette

I really like the wisdom expressed in this brief poem. When we start looking outwards instead of introspectively, or how we think we appear to others, that is when we learn and grow into a better understanding of ourselves. Look into other people's faces and find your connections.
