Being a child is defintely the best time in a person's life ..(at least it should be). Carefree.

Parents too often are burdened with everyday issues ..how to make ends meet ...maintain the family and pay the bills..certainly no time to see the fun in splashing a foot in a puddle.

I remember when I turned 10 it was a drama..two digits..I had a feeling of dread.

Unlike my peers ,anxious to come of age because they thought "rules" would be over, growing up was something I deeply feared.

Somehow ,I knew before my time that this world would not be so kind.

I really do envy children.

CIAO TEMPESTE: So you do envy children. "SO DO I." Jesus said: Unless we change and become like young children we will never get into our God's Kingdom. The greatest person in the Kingdom is the one who becomes like a child. MATTHEW chapter 18: at verses 1 through 4. That says it all. God bless you, Ciao, my friend....Cordially: rhonnie69.

This is sweet and fun. All I can say is mom has to do the wash, and sometimes, she has more than she can do. I can be tough, as well. This did not phase my three sons either as they would always find mud puddles.
Always my best to you and yours, Sally :+)

It is really very tuff to teach your mother, as you feel, she does not listen to you when you wish to teach her any preparation, and she walks; well said, well done. Write to inspire, readable for years -- DR ALCREATOR

The poem is good. It's true that sometimes we mothers need to be taught how to do fun stuff because we always have to do the boring stuff. I think if you could expand it a little (talking about a little more than just the mud puddles}. Only my opinion and it's good as is

HELLO PATRICIA: Thank you for viewing and complementing on my poem. You are appreciated. You...being a mom...can see where I'm going with this. What I was trying to do is get all you mothers's attention here. And i somehow knew that a 7 years old future mother could do just that. Yes. If I were to. "Flesh-Out," this one that would make for a better read, thanks to you. God bless you. Cordially: rhonnie69.
