This poem touched my heart. My mom loved plants and her favorite was African violets( her name was violet). I too love the same things she loved, it's as if you are telling my story. Best of luck in the contest.

From the first moment you bring you and your mother together through shared treasures, which turn out to be not just treasures, but precious memories. I enjoyed how you turn the beautiful objects into moments that describe who your mother was as a person, and your relationship with her. The old plastic jug story is priceless. I love it! The fancy font is difficult to read; consider using a simpler font and letting the words themselves create the mood.
"Maroon colored"--maroon ya a color, so you probably don't need the word "colored."
The last part is nicely poetic.
