You need to brighten the colors in dandelions and crabgrass, they're hard to read. When I was a kid there was a lady who dug every dandelion out of her yard, one at a time. That worked until the wind blew.

Good catch Earl. Often what I see is not what others see with a different lens. Yep, the wind will do that with those white fuzzies.

Hey Mark, I love this vibrant and colorful verse you have written. You did a great job with content and the... crabgrass to follow... was too cute!!1. Well done.

And mardi gras colors decorate the celebration of it all!! ;) :) Gotta love that combination of colors... be sure to have your beads handy to keep the grass from being too crabby ... :) ;) Yvette

Touché!

Surely you don't regard violets as weeds? Dandelions are common here but I'm not sure they are the same as yours. Ours have a black centre. I'm not a gardener at all - which saves me a lot of work although I acknowledge that I miss out on a lot of pleasure too.

Judy,
THANKS as always for your reviews.
I really don't consider any flower as a weed, except for my often crabgrass-infested lawn. LOL
Violets, like poems, are in the eyes of the beholder (-:

You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this colorful, delightful 5-7-5. Yes, in our yards we get all from the very desirable
to the not-so-desirable. I still say the dandelion is not a weed.

Janice,
Even if it is not a weed, it has its own (brief) beauty. I prefer the yellow before it ages to white, wispy flecks. I don't eat dandelion greens either.
