What a wonderful tribute to your friend, Rachelle. The character attributes that you described to us really blew me away. She sounded like a very fine person and you did a great thing honoring her with this piece.

She was so special, Melissa. She made everyone she met feel really special. At her Celebration of Life ceremony, there were over a hundred of us, all happily jammed into her house, sharing stories of our times with her. Each was a unique, high-quality connection.

Thank you for this lovely review. xo

Hi Rachelle, What a remarkable friend you had... I'm so sorry for your loss. You must really miss her. :( She sounds like she really was something else! A real heck of a lady! Traveling to the end... well it's a heck of a lot better than sitting in bed and waiting to die. I'd certainly rather go off to France and Ireland... even if it is by bus!
An inspirational write xo

You are EXACTLY right!! That was antithesis of who she was. Everyone who knew her, adored her. She was very, very special. Thanks for this lovely review, Susan. xo

What a wonderful and glorious write of the celebration of life and the pulling as much as possible out of it!! :) ;) And what a blessing you had to have her in your life...would that we would each have sunshiney influences and examples to 'show us how it's done'! :) ;) Thanx for sharing! :) Yvette

Wow! Just Wow! This is an incredible write about an obviously incredible person. We are very fortunate indeed to meet just one someone like this in our lives, Rach, as you know better than I, no doubt. Just as theloss is incredible also. God bless you and your friend. (I don't believe you mentioned her name)

We will never forget. Bob

Rachelle, I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend. Your reaction to the diagnosis, and the various emotional stages you went through (notice that we'll-placed comma), just strengthen what I'd already learned, over the few months I've known you, about what a good friend you are.

I admire your list of things you learned from your friend's life and how she dealt with her situation. Emotion doesn't need editing because you're speaking from the heart.

The only correction [Jeez, even in an emotional piece like this, she can't give me a break??] is that, after each of the numbers in your list, you need either a period or a closed parenthesis, but not both.

Oh, Rachelle, I'm so sorry for your loss. But this is such a well thought out tribute to her and I'm sure she's smiling down from heaven.

It IS best to try to stay focused on the positive when we're facing life's challenges. My way of coping is to find humor in almost every situation. Almost, not all. Hugs, Lou

Thank you for this warm, compassionate, wonderful review, Lou. I sensed that humor was your 'coping mechanism.' It's mine, as well, and Gail (my friend who passed away) loved that about me. She said I could always make her laugh. xo

This a time when life doesn't seem fair. Your friend didn't deserve to die of lymphoma. What strength she showed when she took the cruise and a bus trip even in the final stages of her disease. I'm in the minority, I suppose, but I prefer the examples of what your friend did to a numbering of the qualities she exhibited. judi

Oh yes, a cracking tribute to lady and your friend and your breakdown narative was a joy to read and I am sure she was all of these things and what lovely memories you keep from her.
My sister in-law Sue who died from bone cancer three years ago was exactly the same, so your pointers rang so true.
Thank you for writing this to keep your memories open and free. Kind regards Colin X
