I've actually done this myself before, Yvette.
I switched glasses with my son somehow and he has a stigma and prescription glasses where my glasses are just used for reading purposes only.
I thought I'd done gone completely blind, heh-heh.
Poor Marianne.
Well, at least all's well that ends well.

This was one that I just 'came up with' at the last minute... kinda got the inspiration from two students at school (different classes/grade levels) that ended up with the same glasses...LOL!! :) ;) Been so busy that there's not a lot of 'extra writing' time!! ;) ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

This is beautiful and tells more than your words. "This time" is my favorite little phrase, even though it is sad. It makes me think that this she knows her eyesight is going and there will be a day that switching glasses will not help. Excellent writing, and by that I mean it is important and meaningful and memorable:)

So glad you caught that, Tina -- you know, whenever I do one of these....I type out the story best I can without counting and then go back and 'edit down' to the minimum....I had hoped that little phrase kept in there the fact that her eyesight was fading (had to eliminate that descriptive sentence) and I think you may be the first to have caught it, but the fact that you did really made me smile! ;) :) Thanx for the review, Beautiful Lady T -- take care out there! ;) ;) Yvette

Oh, the head thing my husband does all the time!! ;) :) I got this crazy idea when two of my students showed up with new glasses (different classes/grade levels) with the same glasses! :) ;) Probably won't happen to David and me cuz mine are prescription and his are 'readers' from the store...can't see me ever mistaking those frames for mine....ugh!
