You have made effective use of all your syllables in this clever 5-7-5
describing, I think, the poetic, expounding "performer" who is very full of himself/herself.

Good use of the format.
I'm confused about the title. What is the connection to Corn Flakes? Am I missing something?
"pithy poet" and "opine" have nice sounds to them.

It's a pop culture expression. If you come across someone cranky you might ask: "Did someone piss in your cornflakes this morning?"

To most readers, the message is the thing, and to many writers, his message is his thing. And some of us have no fiery message and mumble along day after day...excellent five seven five.

Ah, Chip... I sometimes envy the pithy poet. It isn't often that I find myself in the form to opine, I am more the quiet sort... even here where nobody knows me. Sometimes though... every once in a while, I get to where I just don't care anymore and the pithy poet wins out! People usually get pissed when I opine... lol

Yes we do try to be pithy. Short and sweet and meaningful. Maybe sometimes we try to hard. This is a funny poem with a fitting
picture.
Good luck in the contest. Keep writing

I'm rather hoping that this poet doesn't have a lisp.
The formal picture suggests an opinionated and traditional poet.
You have lost me with your cornflakes. Maybe it's too early in the day.

References the pop culture question one may ask an angry or overly frustrated person: "who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?" Thanks for reading!

HELLO CHIP: Thank you for sharing this 5-7-5. You handled it in a different but interesting way. When I think about it...one can learn something worth knowing from reading this because one has to concentrate on it before they can understand it. Keep up the good work. Cordially: rhonnie69.

Comment from Dean Kuch
Hey, all geniuses have to be robustly loud and outspoken, Chip. Our illustrious philosophies, insights and theories must be heard by the illiterate, muddling masses to counteract all of that doggerel they spew.
After all, we're only doing them a favor by saving them multitudes of undue embarrassment.
I only jest, of course, heh-heh.
Best wishes to you in the writing prompt.

Hello Chip!
Your stellar 5/7/5 not only makes me smile but earned my vote as well!
Witty and clever. Not an easy accomplishment in a 5/7/5. Much to be enjoyed.
Thank you!
