d love poems like this - perfect rhymes, nothing forced, lovely images, lilting words, joy from the first word to the last. To me, this is perfection. xo

Did I already tell you this: where I live, we have an annual Festival of Lilacs in Highland Park. Soo beautiful! They're among my favorite flowers, too, Judester. I especially love the deep purple ones.

That sounds like fun. I check my lilacs trees lie an anxious mom. Missed 22 years of spring when we lived in Africa, so I am loving the familiar scents, cheers, judester

You've written an excellent quatrain poem for the contest
with wonderful art work to match the imagery of your words
Good use of alternating rhymes
and a nice little twist at the end.
Well done
Good luck in the voting

Thanks for the encouraging review Robert. Isn't there always a little goth by the duck pond, regardless of the weather? Spring is here finally. Cheers, j
