A friend of mine has an attic like that. She saves everything and does not want to throw things away. A lovely poem written with a great sense of humor. Many people are collectors and everything is a memory to something.... Great write!! Fia

Lovely lighthearted poem showcasing what some may see as a flaw but actually I think imperfections are what make us who we are and hoarding means you are sentimental. Everything holds a memory, so I must admit I am a bit of a hoarder too. Not to the extreme as written about in this poem haha but I'm a nightmare for keeping concert tickets or T-shirt's that are faded or receipts from a special day. I am very sentimental and find it hard to part with things. So I understand where you're coming from. My only critique would be that the rhythm is a bit disjointed so it reads a little clunky but other than that, I really enjoyed it.

My! You remind me of my mother .She was exactly like this ,but she could afford to be so because she had a big house with store rooms.but coming to live with me it is a different story .I live in a small apartment with limited storage so it is almost a daily fencing between both of us!
I enjoyed reading this . good end rhymes and smooth flow.

Ironic that I read this fine work after dealing with a son and his significant other who trash my place to my dismay. You've hit it on the nail's head! A bulldozer is not a bad idea! It would tackle it quicker than I am able. I can't choose a favorite line for to do so takes away from this great poem. Love your artwork choice!

I'm definitely not a hoarder. You've absolutely nailed the attributes of a hoarder down to a tee in this. I enjoyed this well written poem. Well done!
