Such a colorful illustration matched with your writing prompt verse
Great description of that little horse and his parents.
Do like your last two lines as an ending/beginning!

Beautiful Nonet Animal piece. Isn't great the way species in nature plays pivotal roles to insure survival. Even though this is such a short piece you captured the essence of the family dynamics of the seahorse in a wonderful way. Great utilization of the right picture. Thank you for sharing.

-Very nice, colorful image.
-This is a very well written
nonet with the correct
syllable count and very good rhyme.
-You show many qualities
of the sea horse that I
wasn't aware of,
like mating for life
and the role of the dad.
-You write this with
a lot of heart for
these small creatures.
-Good luck in the contest.

You are very welcome.

Nice bit of sea knowledge with an apt piece of artwork as illustration. I always like it when nature reverses what is seen as a natural thing with the male carrying the children. I wish more humans could learn to mate for life.

I LOVED THIS! I have been fascinated by these little guys forever. This is a solid entry into this contest. Your nonet is formatted perfectly and each line is its own entity like it should be. This rocks! Good luck in the vote poet. Well done. Lynda

So glad you enjoyed my nonet on the seahorse!

This nonet, His Work is Never Done, has the proper nine-to-one descending syllable count and tells a clever, rhyming tale of the 'never done' sea horse dad. Fun.
