This is the honest truth, Yvette. I was testing my ability to spot your stuff. When I read this great 8 word poem, I knew that it was yours and just had to check. Of course it's yours. Do you have a voice or what? Or maybe you just speak to me. You could probably pick mine out, too.
Good luck in the contest. I see that another post is winning, but personally I love the illustrations with the poems. Imagine if Frost or Wordsworth picked artwork for their words. Wouldn't that be nice?

Pretty much knew that one was the winner as soon as I read all the entries.... but, you're right without question, had the option been open to those beautiful and creative minds back then, would they have taken advantage of it? Without question, I say that 'Hell yeah they would have'!! ;) ;) They're goal, as for all artists and poets, was to convey a mood and an image to their readers....imagine the blended magic some of those Greats could have created! ;) ;) Good to hear from you, MQ -- hope alls going as well as it can be...;) ;) Take good care of you! ;)

This points to one of mankind's issues, that of divorcing perception from reality. Once a perception is established, it is very hard to shift, even though it might not be the true reality of a situation. People might quite happily dance to that music, but they might be at a funeral rather than a celebration, depending on how it is presented to them.

Very true! I have to say it's sort of difficult to say enough about short poem's like this, or haikus, etc, but...think I may have reached the character count yet??

Eight words can say sooo much! I like the photo you choose to go with them as well. That is why there is different types of music.. so we all can move to our own beat!
