Awwwwwww. You're bound to get a few reviews on THIS one, I'd say, and your readers will be delighted with the story, too. As cute as that picture is, the flash is even better!

    This was my 'cute kitty plea' for votes .. LOL!! :) ;) Someone once told me that if you want to win votes at the polls, write about cute animals and/or poets and authors... so, I threw this one out there! :) I actually stopped and picked up two baby raccoons from their dead mom years ago and brought them to the wild rescue center... fun story... maybe I'll tell it one time! ;);) Take care, O Lady of the North! ;) ;)

    Oh, baby raccoons? Me too. My story about them is a bit different though, and sad... :(

Heart wrenching. All of my animals are always rescues. Breaks my heart to know that there are so many animals who need forever homes. A well written little flash fiction that keeps the plight of the animals before us. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

How I love your flash fiction. First person narrative is an excellent choice, but your subject matter is even more so! And their names, Oh my goodness, Yvette! Priceless! I'd take them all home in a heartbeat!

Irresistible! As an animal lover, one look at the three musketeers just melted my heart, and combined with your delightful story, so well told, I've my dose of warm fuzzies for the morning. My calico cat got run over too. maybe calicos have no road sense.

Story of heart. This is very sweet and very well written. The back and forth that he suffers before stopping to pick them up is felt through the writing.

I like this flash fiction entry about saving three kittens after the mom got killed. Great job writing this and saving the cats. What a hero! Have a great day!

This is such an appealing story, and while brief, tells a complete one. There is the internal conflict of whether or not to stop - traveling late at night and tired with work still to do. He does what we hope, saving the three kittens, who wouldn't have left their mother. It has a very charming ending.

You deserve to win this contest, simply for stopping to save three adorable kittens. Maybe it's not true and really is fiction but I've always been very gullible. Nothing to suggest and good luck.
