So, I guess one could claim that this dragon...this big, bad, red, fire-breathing dragon...was pussy whipped, heh-heh?
Hey, it's okay, Mr. Red Dragon.
It happens to the best of us.
Speaking of "bests", best of luck to you in the contest.

Hahaha! Well, I am certainly glad it was a FRIENDLY dragon or that little roommate would have quickly used up all nine lives, yes? What a charming ending and a fun read. Best of luck in the booth. :)

That's really funny. You usually have one you can't get rid of, sometimes two. I like what you were able to present and bring forth so well with so few words. I enjoyed reading this. Well done!

This eighty-word flash fiction story, The Insistent Roommate, has the proper word count and brings us to a quaint and friendly ending. Nice.

This is an excellent entry for the contest. Great idea to create a story of a dragon being driven nuts by his roommate. I like how you incorporated humor into the twist in the story.

What a wonderful greeting this day, Bill!! :) ;) Thank you so very much for those lovely stars -- and I'm so glad you enjoyed Red and his little kitten .... I had hoped to put a smile on folks' faces and there seems to be a lot of 'darkness' in many of the 'short writes' these days! :) :) Take care! :)

Hi Contest Author,

This is very well written and a nice contest entry. I am not sure what I'm missing here, but I am clueless as to who or what Mittens is and what Mittens has to do with fish. A cat perhaps? Thanks for sharing and good luck. Jan :-)

I like the picture and the story. I was expecting him--as dangerous as he looks--to go after some big game, but he settled on a fish. It put a smile on my face. Good luck in the contest

OK, so Mittens the kitten, whose purring is echoing off the cave walls, is hungry and wants some breakfast, preferably fish. It is heart-warming to now that even dragons like having a companion pet. This is a charming little story.
