Thanks for the read and the review. I did get some karma, but less violent. She wanted to come back and I said no I had met someone else.

Karma, I like it. It is always nice when someone gets what's coming to them.

The only suggestion I have is to make the hurt jump out to the reader more. If I could sympathize with the husband to be more I would be a justified blow to the woman instead of just a funny one.

Yeah, I was not feeling in a good mood, when I thought about this event so many years ago. Too bad it wasn't true. But I got even when she wanted to come back and I had met someone else. So a less violent karma. Thanks for the read and the comments.

Well, that was a rather dramatic solution, both to your story and the rejected lover's probable sense of vengeance. A natural phenomenon streaks out of the blue, just as her news did for him.

Excellent submission of flash for this contest. Simple plot with a brilliant ending, foreshadowed by the earlier dialogue.
Note - one minor type. Second paragraph, first word. It should read It's.
