Hi Alicia. Earth day continues after all these years. We can all do our part by reaching a hand to those in our circle. Even though we can't reach millions, we may reach some. A nicely expressed piece and thank you for sharing your poem for Day #4. Marilyn

A very well-written uplifting poem. Let us make a sad song better by being optimistic and tackle problems in a positivie matter, don't let the troubles of the world get us down.

Thank your focusing on optimism, especially inspired by the renewal of spring and memories of the popular song from the 70's. I enjoyed your rhymes and "hugs". (I think "I'd rather hug a tree" lost its contraction.) Here's to protecting and respecting the Earth! More hugs- Joan

This was a good read, sunnilicious. It had a good flow and imagery and I really liked the message. The video was fun to see, I haven't heard that song in a long time. One small nit: I (I'd) rather hug a tree;

Hi Sunni,
I love that you honor Nature with this poem. This is a great way to remind people about Earth Day! Nothing for me suggest you consider revising. Thanks for sharing. Jan

This is a well-written poem, my friend. I think it is well-worded with excellent flow and makes a good point. I would suggest:
I rather hug a tree; (I'd rather hug a tree)~Debbie

Some times it just takes one small thing, like picking up trash when you go for a walk, to make a huge change. We all need to do our part, like not throwing trash out our car windows, (I want to smack people who do that), and recycle, to help preserve our world. Hope you do well in the contest. rox

You're nice. Littering is a terrible thing. I haven't seen it. Noise pollution is around me. Thank you :)

It is difficult for one person to change the world, but not impossible, and you can easily change the world of others on a daily basis, one smile can uplift someone else's day and make a difference, you made a difference here with your poem, you gave mea new perspective, love Dolly x

What a great message, Alicia! I think that would be a life changer not only to give hugs but to honor and respect Nature and teach children to do the same.
