Excellent rhyming poem about coffee. I don't know if the contest is over or not but i would certainly vote for this poem. Good luck in the contest.

I like this poem. I like the concept. Especially I like the idea of drinking coffee for the protection of others. I really relate to that. It does rhyme. I see no error.

It's an interesting poem about coffee. I am not a coffee drinker but I do enjoy a cup of tea. Coffee makes my heart trip, trip, trip faster and in my opinion has a bitter taste but each to his own. It seems that many are slaves to the coffee grinder... nicely written. PM

Good tight writing, and thoughtful with the blurry pic. Definitely a popular opinion concerning "caffeine" before life begins. Also, who doesn't want it fresh!

Comment from His Grayness
This rhyming poem does well and certainly finds a lot of common interest from men (and perhaps women) who really love their coffee as much as I do anyway! I enjoyed it very much and thank this author for a very delightful read! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

I love this humorous and very clever little poem. I loved the opening statement of " I drink Java for the protection of others" lol, this made me giggle.

First thing in the morning - we head to the hot pot, brew with good half/half caffeine and non - then the day begins to look brighter - our brain has a re-charge.
Good poem - for sure get GOOD coffee when you go shopping. And now and then stop at a kiosk.
Good job.

Yes, I do get that and I've often thought of roasting my own beans too. Nice work of describing what life would be like without coffee. The best of luck.

We all relate, who drink the cup of you know what. It is such a panacea in the morning when you're foggy and stumbling and you finally drink the liquid you are craving a calm flows over and around and life is once again worth living. I like your poem.

Your ultra-concise poem vividly conveys the theme of coffee's necessity and unique greatness! Been drinking it for fifty years and consider
it worth fighting for!! :-)
