Oh what a cute ode! I am sorry for your loss and it is good to remember him in this quaint and delightful poem. The rhyme and rhythm are good as is the tone and imagery. Enjoyed the read.

This is short and... Dinky. I love the rhymes.

I commend you on your relationship with Dinky. A dog is Man's faithful friend to the very end.

I wish you the best.

The loyalty you have shown is warm. You had to put him down as he was in pain. The dog is pooping a lot, maybe meaning he just can't go on. He's old and tired and death is coming.

I am so sorry about Dinky. He is a gorgeous boy. I'm sure it's never easy to let them go, but it is lovely you are taking his best interests to heart. Hope you are doing okay xx

I am so, so sorry. The last great kindness an owner can do is to put their beloved pet out of its misery. Although it's hard, you're doing the right thing - as I'm sure you know. My condolences.

Thank you Mancub. What really hurts was we had to put our cat of 15 years, Moe, down the week before. I'm glad you enjoyed the poem, because i'm not really a poet. I look forward to checking out your work.

My condolences about poor Dinky, Earl. I know it's a tough loss. Your excellent poem is amusing, while bittersweet.

(That's all I wanted to say, but I was instructed to come up with 30 additional keystrokes, and this should be more than sufficient.)

I hate the 150 character rule too. The ones that piss me off are the short poems.

This is a great tribute to your special pet, Earl. I hope he is recovering!! The rhyming was well chosen and the theme of a beloved pet is heart warming to all of us. We wish him well.

This is a very well written poem about your precious Dinky that had a stroke last night. I am so sorry he has to be put to sleep. He looks so sweet and loving. You and little Dinky are in my prayers! May God bless you all! Teri
