Hi Alicia. Your poem reflects the happiness/contentment we "should" be having in our daily lives. My feeling is that there has to be at least one thing that gives us joy every day. A good reminder for those who tend to look on the gloomy side. Marilyn

Hi Alicia,

I like poems with questions. They make the reader ponder. What you say in your poem is so true. We have to grab joy whenever/wherever we can find it and appreciate it, as it can be "short lived" or "long lived". I love your concluding line "I wish happiness grew on trees." ... wouldn't that be great?!!
