This echo verse, Happiness, has a nice message about finding one's source of happiness. I don't understand the format, however.

Hi Bill. I'm thinking to echo is to repeat words to add emphasis to the idea. Thank you :)

Hi Alicia. Your poem reflects the happiness/contentment we "should" be having in our daily lives. My feeling is that there has to be at least one thing that gives us joy every day. A good reminder for those who tend to look on the gloomy side. Marilyn

How fun. I like how the poem makes me think of two friends talking asking and answering. And I wish "happiness grew on trees" too. And thanks for teaching me about the echo poem!

A very well-written echo poem. Sometimes we can find inspiration in many places. Often we find it in the place we least expect to find it and we stand in awe to see what we created.

This was a good read for me on a rainy Tuesday morning, sunnilicious. I liked the way you came up with this one and the message was a good one. Nice job.

Thank you for introducing us to the echo verse format. It is very effective in reflecting on happiness with its questions and echoing responses. Your artwork selection is perfect in reinforcing the "trees" concept. Smiles- Joan

Hi Alicia,
I like poems with questions. They make the reader ponder. What you say in your poem is so true. We have to grab joy whenever/wherever we can find it and appreciate it, as it can be "short lived" or "long lived". I love your concluding line "I wish happiness grew on trees." ... wouldn't that be great?!!
Hugs,
Connie

I think joy can take two forms, and I think sometimes is confused with happiness, which is a short term form of joy, but I think true joy is something that bubbles underneath long term, well done, dear Alicia, on your second day of the April challenge, well done, blessings,Roy
