This is such a cute poem and a very touching one. I always envied my friends who spent weekends with their grandparents as mine died before I was born. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Beautifully done with impeccable rhyming and scanning. Nothing seems forced. It reads like a true story (although it probably isn't) and brings an affectionate memory or imagining to life.

Contest author - what a serene poem. There is a tranquility to this hard day's work and the time the girls spent with their grandmother. The rhyme scheme is consistent and reflects the overall balance of the piece. Nicely done.
