I voted for this, thought it was brilliant. You gave us an entire life and so many things around that life, in just one line. Well done. Sweet Nan who knows all the stories.

You have expertly packed so much into this one-liner. 'homespun yarns' ... I love the double meaning. Very eye-appealing. Love the author notes :) An excellent contest entry!!
Best wishes,

I love the image of you watching your mother creating clothes and accessories for you while sharing her experiences and wisdom. Lovely vignette, and beautiful One-Line contest entry. xo

Lol, you like battling it out with me, don't you? Haha. You're out in front now with this great piece. I remember my Grandma always knitting away. She had some boney hands but kept it up. She loved her knitting. Best of luck in the contetst.

It'll be neck and neck till the public has its way with us. Good ol' grandmas... they were always so productive.

I love your one liner. I have personally crocheted a baby blanket for every baby born under my generation in our family. My fingers are not knotted but I can see how this type of dedication can show itself. I could truly relate to the pic and the poem.

Ooh I like this. Good word play and nice alliteration to add to the flow. I love homilies too. Not only is it worded perfectly but there's a lot of depth. In one line. Nice. I've never given a six on a prompt.
Thanks, now I'm not going to enter ;) bravo friend

Hello Author
I really enjoyed your Monostitch. I can't knit myself, can never keep the tension right on both hands. I do crochet however and have done several blankets for myself and family members. :)

Nice job. I like your use of alliteration. Also, I like the pun on yarns. In one line you create an evocative image that I think many readers can relate to.

Thank you for appreciating my poem. It is personal but general, as you say.
