A very well-written 5-7-5 political poem. At its best politics is first of all very borning, then to top that most of them are telling lies and promise the impossible deals to everyone who have ears to hear.

Good illustration to reinforce your three lines.
I would rather compose 575s or Haiku, or read a book, than watch the drivel on cable TV. 'Streaming on' may be one alternative to consider. A glass of wine once in awhile is a happy choice too. LOL

Yay! I agree. It's too political and both extremes take up all the air time. I mostly just youtube videos on nature (surprise!) It's free but the young dudes doing the video are questionable authorities. Lol.

I don't think cutting the cable would help all that much.
The politicos are everywhere. maybe move to Walden Pond
and watch the ants go marching.
