I see that in my distance from FAN STORY you have found the old type setter's trick of centering. But what I used to do is count the letters and then the middle point is the center of your longest line so it there are 18 characters the middle set is at 9. I know that sounds more simple than what it is and I didn't follow a typesetter in my Spring offering because I sometimes forget my own old fashioned ways. But here Beautiful Teacher you have offered a new form that everyone seems to be catching like fire including me - yes that is right you have inspired me. I know there are others as the other's whom I admire have also written a beautiful "Even the Odds" form! Someone else who I think may be contacting you had presented her form in flattery of your form with a bit of a twist. So I have taken her challenge and your challenge and have worked over the last few days. Because my brain isn't as creative and easy as you CQ and MRW. Nor do I have the skill set to just pop one of this out!!!! LOL So hopefully, by mid-week I will have one promoted that you will be pleasantly surprised by and also see - I hope! I also saw you sent me a message in my inbox which I will be replying shortly. Have a lovely Sunday. Cheers, Fonda

Wow -- this is a WONDERFUL and UNEXPECTED surprise in the review register, Lady F!! :) ;) Thank you, thank you for those wonderful stars! :) And I did review Pam's twist -- kindof a cool thing to see something like that out there when you created the basis for it... like a little kid all over again showing your artwork in front of the class! :) ;) LOL! :) And I do look forward to reading yours -- just ping my message box with your 'Post' and I'll be there!! :) LOL! :) Like I said, take your time getting caught up ... I'm about to get really busy really soon and I'll be sporadic at best for a good while ... life happens! :) ;) Thanx for stopping by, Fonda -- your confidence in me is something I treasure. :) Take care! :) Yvette

There is no wonder this poem placed second in the contest. You touched every point the contest required and presented an excellent poetic piece of work.

"Let The Music Speak For Us", is short, succinct and very much to the point. This talented poet's semi-erotic piece was a pleasure to both read and review. To me, this is a six, but I only have fives left.

Comment from Miss Sherry
I love Beethoven and I love Yvette, so am having a field day with all these poems.
This is a poem that is straightforward and tells a truth...shut up and hug me. All the words in the world mean nothing if they are lies or half-truths. Actions speak louder than words and all that!

You are so wonderful, Lady S -- if I'm not careful, you might make me think I was a real poet... I'll leave that to you and the others on here that seem to make this look so easy!! :) ;) You comments are so very welcome, ma'am -- you made my afternoon! :) ;) Take care of you! :) ;) Yvette

Music soothes the soul and nothing soothes quite like some of Beethoven's pieces. I enjoyed your poem and can relate to the sentiments. Good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.

Dear Mystery Poet,
What a pretty scene... just you and me snuggled together on the.... um... sofa? Listening to the classics. Yum! Sounds like a wonderful night of joy and more! Thanks and good luck!

A fitting tribute to Beethoven's debut anniversary.
I'm sure the syllable count is correct to prompt rules.
I removed both shoes and socks to count them.
You have poetically captured a serene moment.
A complementing visual as well.
Nice work, best wishes.

Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written even the odds poem about the music of Beethoven that can change the mood between two lovers from a tension to a relaxing ronmantic mood.

Very well written and flows very nicely. I like how you take Beethoven and form it into a romance. Cleverly constructed and meaningful. You've carefully chosen your words and painted a carefully constructed picture of love for us with the instructions for this poem. I like the idea of the mood just music and no speech recommended; something in relationships we need more of--less talk and more enjoying the company in quiet with soft music, especially classical. Well presented and written. Enjoyable. I like your thoughts. Best,

Comment from Gail Denham
You helped me relax just reading this poem. Often (altho I work at home) it's when I say "enough" - warm the tea and collapse into a chair to rest before I prepare supper. For sure, kick off those high heels - they'll kill your feet. It feels so good to relax.
Beethoven's music does sooth. My husband's a classical music lover. Often as he plays some of this, I fall asleep - can't help myself.
I liked your poem.
