Interesting. Wish hubby would be willing to try it. However, he can't stand beans of any kind! When I make chili, I have to make it without beans. Then I make my chili with beans. Happy Writing, katy

Thanks for the recipe Sally, great idea to post it here! It's always great to get a new recipe and it sounds like it would be quite yummy and putting cheese on it would make it all the more tasty! : ) p.s. I'll change it to six stars once I make it and eat it! LOL!

looks yummy, Ill have to try it. I wonder if It can be made in a vitamix. it looks like it all gets creamed together anyways ( i see you said you like more chunks of beans, and I would too, but my wife seems to hate "chunks") Maybe ill try it. blessings

    Yes, you can purées the final cooked soup for a few seconds surveying the consistency to make sure you like it. I have an immersion blender, but it?s dangerous for me to use since I am blind. Thank you for stopping by with the kind review.

I've just discovered a love of black beans and this recipe looks great, Sal. I'm going to try and make it soon as I've got some black beans in the pantry. Thanks for posting.

Well I must admit to a love of reading good recipes so this piqued my interest right away. Other than the chicken or beef stock, I would substitute with Miso stock, this recipe sounds delicious.

All I have been eating is chicken soup. Now you whip up an Organic Black Bean Soup recipe. It sounds tasty. I guess I'm making some bean soup. Oh yeah, you said it has medicinal properties, must be that-- what was it? ... one-half bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon Wine? :) I feel cured already. :)

Oh, I love soups...all kinds...they just warm you from the inside out! ;) ;) I miss my bean soups...my husband's 'tender insides' quit being able to handle beans about a year or two ago......had to give up my red beans and rice as a main meal! Sounds delicious, Sally! I never thought of mashing it. That might make it easier to digest. I find just soaking dry beans with some ginger also helps with digestibility. Thanks!
