"Searching", is a well-written and thought-provoking piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Thank you for the kind review.

This is a great description of writer's block, which I suspect most people here can relate to. The poem has a nice rhythm and the imagery is vivid. Nice job.

Oh boy - writer's block has you in its grip. Healing begins when you put pen to paper and write anything - just anything - for l5 minutes. Do this over and over and over. Until the angst is gone from your soul. I hope you can.
Good poem

Hi Dallas, your poetry still lives and breathes, far from dead.
You have expressed the fears that all soldiers of the pen go through when the sounds of loves battles and life's sighs seem to have faded never to return. Rest assured you have only entered a quiet valley and will regain your hearing when you finish your climb to the brow of the hill. From there all will stretch out again before you as you rejoin the poets fight.
Nice job
Best

Hi Dallas. Good to see your work here gain.
Your poem conveys beautifully the feeling one has
when the words just wont come. Especially when one has
succeeded before. Many of us can relate to this loss of inspiration.
Your wonderful imagery gives a clue to the talent that you possess.
Seems to me your muse is on her way back.

Hi Dallas,
Oh, what a sad poem you have written my friend. Very nice contest entry, which should fare well in the competition. Nothing for me to suggest revising. Good luck and thanks for sharing. Jan

I can truly relate to this poem Dallas. I swear my poetry seems to come in spurts anymore when I couldn't type fast enough in the past. I love the passionate way you speak of it in fiery words that totally accentuates your dismay. Well done my friend. Well done. Nancy:)

This sounds really good. I enjoyed reading it and it flows very well. I like your word choices like 'yesteryear' and the last line adds a nice punch, and 'volcanic' works really well too for a descriptor. It's rhythmic and tuned finely. You've constructed a tight composition and I don't see any noticeable errors. An excellent read. Enjoyable.

A very well-written rhyming poem about the inspiration to write our thoughts sometimes seem to take a vacation and there is no idea that can ignite the fire to let the ink flow from the pen.

This is enigmatic, open to interpretation by the reader's beliefs and experiences.
There is an ineffable sadness that seeps through - a longing and hunger that elude the author on some plane. I enjoyed this very much. It is well-written and very lovely.
