An interesting poem. Was it an accident or something more nefarious? Either way, it's a mystery as to how the poison got there to begin with. Thank you for sharing.

I'm decidedly not terribly fond of horror, but I am of fine poetry, and that's what this articulately delivered poem is. The narrative is smooth, important in a story poem, although there is no distinct meter here, the abcb rhyming is tight, as is the great theme. Well done, blessings Roy

An interesting poem in an unique setting. You don't often find murder happening on a movie set. It definitely adds some high glamor to the story. But...who did it? :)

Boogienights - Thanks for the fun review! I conceptualized this one as accidental overdose ? but could there be something more sinister? Absolutely! Thank you for your read through, the excellent rating, and commentary - I appreciate it!

Arsenic was the poison often used by wives to kill their husbands in Victorian Britain and they banned the sale of it in shops in a bid to stop the deaths. This is a horror write as it is a terrible way to die, a story of murder by poisoning here, love Dolly x

This was very clever to weave an entire mystery story into a rhyme poetic form. I like how you dropped hints and kept the reader guessing until you revealed the cause of death at the end. Best wishes in the contest!!

Brilliant! I confess I wouldn't have figured this out--I appreciate the notes--in retrospect, I discern the clues of flushing sans injury, a hallmark of poisoning.

Very creative poem. It is a good mystery story that leads from clue to clue and you obviously included the required words. It reminds me of a mini Agatha Christie mystery. Well done.
