I like the idea behind this one, that our best words are gifts from the Almighty. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God, or so the good Book says.

Please dictate Your words to me
Bring life to my pen
Share the truths that are unknown
Then share them once again
I think we all need this
I love this
God bless

Yvon I enjoyed your poetic prayer asking for help in hearing and sharing the word in verse.

I hope you receive what you long for and I wish you well in expressing the the write words.

Best
John

I've been getting these little boons all my life. Just thought I would share one of them.

This is a lovely poem of creativity and freedom.
I like the rhyme and the rhythm is wonderful when read aloud.

"Little Boons", is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

I liked this read, Yvon. It had a good flow to it and the rhyme scheme made it read very smoothly. I really liked the last two lines the best and the aspect of spiritual freedom. Nice job.

I assume you're asking God for a few boons. One never knows when God will bestow a great blessing - sometimes in a way that doesn't at first look inviting. This is a thinking poem as it ends with the plea that our soul can be free. Free in Jesus Christ I think.
Good poem

This work has reached the exceptional level

Your practice of meditation is the meekness that the Lord finds habitable ... He goes to those who invite Him in ... if one accepts the Taoist ... prayer and meditation are the same

Hi Yvon,

What a delightful piece of poetry you've penned here, my friend!

One offering for your consideration:

"Open up the avenues
That evades the human mind "

I think this might read more fluidly as (avenues) "evade" the human mind.

Thanks for sharing.

Jan

Hi Yvon, Didn't bother me a bit, but I'm sure you might get some nit picking from others. ;-) Jan

This is neat and fun to read! I like how it provokes thought and makes the reader think. I'm not sure, though, what a little boon is? Maybe in your author notes you should explain the meaning of 'boon,' as I'm still not sure after reading. But I get what your trying to convey. I like the colours and the message. I like the ending about the spirit being free. Cleverly composed. Unique!

A boon is a gift. Usually from God.
