I had no idea .. I remember reading that Noah sighted a bird and that meant land was near ..
I didn't know about the rainbow .. So this was God's way to ensure that HE would never destroy mankind /the planet again with water.
But of course God will use fire I believe the next time ..
What people should be focused on is not doing anything to others that they would not want done to them .. it's a rule that keeps you on the right track.
Like always your rhyming is perfect ..three combinations ..

It is a beautiful story and a promise from God that he will no more flood the earth. The sinfulness of men was the cause of the flood, yet Noah and his family found grace and were saved from the flood, because they obeyed the word of God.
