Last year I saw the word Riverdancing appear on my You tube sidebar ...curious I punched it

It was when the updated version of Irish step dancing was for the first time presented to the world ...

Riverdance at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest Dublin.. ..

You should check it out ...

I was mesmerised ..I thought others may not know of this dance so I wanted to write about it in my poem dedicated to Ireland /St Patrick's day .

Thanks Suggary for the enthusiastic review ..

I had know idea what ST.Patrick was so I had tondo some research beforehand .

I also had to do some last minute editing when another reviewer told me it was not in the right format ..

I had no idea "Limerick " was a format ..

I just thought the word was in reference to making it humorous if the writer wanted to . ( biggrin).

I enjoyed your poem.
Lots of great imagery and I particularly like the line 'Beer is rolling, flowing, foaming'.
Very Irish as per the prompt requirements, but unfortunately it isn't in limerick format.

Thanks Debra White for pointing out to me that I wrote the poem wrong .. I read the word ...Limerick.. but I thought it had to do with the poem being humorous if one wanted to go down that path .

I had no idea it is referring to a format .

I started writing last July so I am still not acquianted to all the possible formats .

Initially I was too tired to edit the poem but yesterday seeing it had not yet entered the voting booth I changed it .
