Excellent poem. It matched all the requirements of the Rondel Poem. I relate a lot with your poem and your right old age sucks and it doesn't get any better. Good luck on the contest.

I'm not sure this adheres to the 'normal' rhyme scheme outlined in the prompt, perhaps that is optional. It does follow the repeating line requirement, though. A sad poem about aging and reflecting on the limitations that come with that progression. It captures our natural instinct to fear what lies ahead when feeling that so much health and vigor has already been lost. If you believe- like I do- that attititude does impact health and well being, I hope the author's scared state of mind can come to appreciate what he/she still has to be thankful for and doesn't dwell on lost youth.

I'm sorry you are scared. It isn't fun to get old. You mention friends in the poem, and how they're in the same boat you are - do you have any family to help? A church?
Reach out - there are organizations who will help you, and then you might not be so scared,
