-That is a lovely home in
the picture that you describe
in your answer. It sounds
like a wonderful place to live.
-That is an incredible event
you describe in #3. How
fortunate for you.
-Congratulations to you on
the college degree. I cannot
imagine a parent telling
their child they were stupid.
-You deserve a lot of credit for
achieving what you did and for
44 years of marriage, too.
-Thanks for sharing, Tom.

Thank you Pam for your very kind and encouraging words.Concerning my dad's comments, you need to understand that my older brother Chuck, was a straight A student, went to college on a football scholarship, went to a military HS, where he was Cadet Colonel (the highest rank), and class valedictorian. He graduated from Harvard Law school Suma cum Lauda, and went to England on a Rhodes Scholarship before coming home to work in Washing DC as a renowned lawyer. I followed 5 years behind all that.

I appreciate you sharing. I guess parents, and probably teachers, look at that, and then figure, "Well, you should do the same."
I think that was probably true for many, especially when you are talking about a different era and attitudes. As I said, you should be proud of what you accomplished; I hope you are! I am curious, are you and your brother close?
-
Yes, I never held anything against him, and he was always sensitive to me.
-
That is good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tom,
You have had quite an interesting life, thus far. I can see why the pictured home is your favorite. It is gorgeous! Must have been tough to move from there.
Thanks so much for sharing

Thank you Jan. Yes it was. Unfortunately, they were shutting down my facility in Colorado, and I was transferred to New York.
Also, I had purchased on a adjustable rate Mortgage at 3.5%, but in 5 years it had gone up to 13%, so the mortgage was killing me.

I wish I could be laid back enough to fall asleep during a final exam and still end up with the degree. Now that is what I call cool!
That cancer cure was mind blowing and certainly adds a plus to the alternate medicine lobby.

Thank you Jim. Good points. That sleep was even after taking No Doz, so I had the shakes as well. Some wound call the cancer cure just a misdiagnosis. Maybe both were miracles! Lol.

Hi, Tom,
Thank you for playing along with the game. I learned a great deal about you and I have to applaud you for working so hard to get your degree. You have every right to be proud!
I think we all have homes in our past that we wished we still owned. The house we had designed and built on our own lot sold for over $600K last year. We sold it 18 years ago for just $200K.
Sometimes that's just the way it goes.

Thanks for sharing this. You've had such an interesting life. I can tell you really loved your Colorado home. I had a home like that once. I knew every inch of it. I can still see it when I close my eyes. Congratulations on a long marriage and being cancer-free!

1. I have known your name for sometime as you explained it to me.
2. I knew you worked for a company in Colorado Springs, but not the time you spent on the east coast. You have lived in some different places and the home in CO Springs is lovely and I can see why you would like to still own the home.
3.How you cancer was gone I see as a spiritual touch for our loving God and I consider it to be very real.
4.Using you belt om the arm of the boy, was heroic.
5.Having a marriage last for 44 year is indeed and achievement. Also you have every right to be proud of getting a degree after being told you were stupid.

Thank you 24Chas. The views were spectacular, especially at night with city lights below, and stars above.

I like these answers and personal quizzes, you have been completely open. I've had so many jobs in my life, I'm envious of people who have had just one. I've lived in my home since 1977, although I lived in a few before that. I'm particularly touched by the miracle that happened to you Tom, didn't that convince up you of anything? (I thought your site name was an exotic mystery, heh heh) well dine, blessings, Roy

Thank you Roy. It sure did, although some people claim it was just a misdiagnosis in the first place. That was in 1992.

People will refuse to believe no matter what, the alternative is accountably, head in the sand stuff. but you and God know. Bless you, Roy
