I love the place you live at now. I have these images from what you've described and it sounds amazing. I loved your book and you were insanely brave for putting it all out there. I've been there, done it, I know what it's like. I'm so glad you decided to do this :)

Thank you and I am thrilled you have read my book. Too many have had similar experiences yet not all survive. I appreciate the generous comments and am pleased you enjoyed this post.

I just read your previous entry in your ramblings and now I feel I really know the story behind your name. It's nice to learn more about you. Nice job in this chapter.

Thanks, I am pleased this made sense. There will be no more name changes for me. You CANNOT change you name in Mexico under any circumstances.

I think I already knew a fair bit of what you've written Sasha, but this is more comprehensive than the bits and pieces that I've read before. So well done, you're quite brave. Well done, I think most of us have skeletons in our closet, I play my cards close to my chest, as I have some innocents I want to protect. Well done, my friend, blessings, Roy

It is hard to keep your cards close to your chest when you write an autobiography. But we all have dark areas we want to avoid talking about.
-
I haven't written one yet, just "bits" heh heh

Thanks for sharing, dear Sasha. This is a nice book to contribute to, and I am sure your regular readers, like me, enjoyed hearing more about your past. It was indeed brace of you to write that book.
Spag notes:
*I stared with the name Smurphgirl.
Typo--started, not stared!
* The S stands for my mother(,) whose name was Shirley. M
* I now just use Sasha with is not my first name, which is Aleksandra Sasha. S
I now just use Sasha, which
My mother and father separated(,) and my mother rented a house in Redmond, Washington (near Seattle).
*I went through some serious psychological problems and(,) unable to work, lost the house.
* She said yes(,) and I ended up living with her for eighteen years. She sold her house(,) and that is when we moved to Mazatlan to live.
* Being honest was not easy but necessary(,) especially telling the world

Thanks for catching all the spags. You must wonder if I will ever get one 100 percent right.

The writing itself is what matters. Spag fixes are why you can hire an editor!

I need to find a roommate that's an editor.

You've had an interesting life, Sasha. I didn't know you worked undercover for the Seattle Police Department and US Treasury to help close several escort services. Glad to hear it wasn't dangerous, since it sounds like it would be. But then you're braver than I am. :)

I actually wasn't scared but there were a few times when I was very nervous.
-
No it really wasn't scary, but I was quite nervous at times.

Your life is definitely the most interesting of the lives that I have read about on Earl's lists. You have so much to be proud of. You have lived, girl. I am still confused as to your name. What is the last name that you go by? I was glad to hear that you were so close to your mom. For some reason, I had gotten the impression that you had a falling out with your mom. She actually sounds wonderful.
Thank you so much for all of your genuine posts. You are inspirational.

My whole name is Aleksandra Sasha Natalya Petrova. My mother and I did not get along when I was growing up. But we resolved all our issues down here in Mazatlan before she died. Yes,she was wonderful... she put up with me which makes her a saint in my mind.
-
That's the prettiest name that I ever heard. Are you Russian?
-
Thanks. I was born Valerie Jean Murphy but my mother changed it when we moved to Mexico. It is a long story about why she chose that name.
-
That's awesome. Please tell us some day all about your name. You may have already done so before I joined. If so, direct me to the correct ramble and I will read it.
-
I went through my portfolio and couldn't find it. I'll do another one but since it will not be exactly the same, Tom won't get upset.
-
I'll be watching for it. Thank you.

"I star(t)ed..."
Well, other than the places you lived, I pretty much knew the rest, so how's that for a pen pal? I've already told you this in a couple of different ways, but I want to say it again until I'm sure you hear it, because it's pretty important to me. You -- and your book, your writing -- showed me it's okay to spill my secrets (or some of them anyway. *silly smirk*)
This was great, Sasha.
