Hello Victor,
I'm a sucker for bird pictures and poems :) This sparrow makes me think of that song, His Eye is on he Sparrow. I can hear them singing it in my head. Yes, I'd love to be able to fly. I enjoyed your ending the best.

Hi Victor, Yeah, if we could just spout wings and fly out there. That would be a dream. But then again it's always good to have dreams. I liked your well composed poem. All the best. Ulla:)))

I so like the tone of wistful optimism in this simple/complex poem. The ability to fly away from our cares and start again, in a clearer reality. Your sparrow carries much symbolism.
In your notes, do you mean the right side of the brain for the magic of creativity?

Wow! This is so simply written, with just the right amount of words, to say something so significant, and real. You captured me from the first line, and then take me, where you will, to a place of "innocence, and grin, and fly again?" I simply love this poem and every part of it. The artwork, the structure, the rhyme sequence, and the build-up to the final end, in all its glory. The message surpasses the poem, but not by much. You have written the quintessential philosophical poem. I'd give you more stars if I had them to give. Thank you for your enlightening "Renewal."
Take care, Jesse

Hello Victor,
Yes, to be a sparrow and fly..
of course, birds eat bugs, which I don't care for too much
but flying for fun, and just because...
There are no Mulligans in life,
but there are dreams
Nicely written

Thank you, Robert. No, I don't think we get a mulligan. But, then again, that is why we learn.

-Nice image and presentation,Victor.
-I like your poem, using the sparrow
as your reference for the questions.
-Effective use of rhyme and there
is a smooth flow to the poem.
-I like the opening verses about
taking the tears and the whys
and carting them all away.
-As you ponder reaching for
the sky, you get to the conclusion,
which shows the potential of happiness.
-Thanks for sharing this, and
making us think a little about
these well written ideas.

Beautiful, Renewal...."can you take these tears from my eyes." Great choice of pictures, the picture your selected immediately evokes the emotion that your words reveal. I like the way you ended this "What if we all could just...." thanks for sharing.

Hi there,
Your simple poem which asks that the main character is turned into a sparrow resonates deep inside of me.
How often have I wished to be able to fly away from all the mess?
Thank you for sharing,
