What a great poem for the contest. I wish you the best of luck. When my husband first took me fishing, he thought I was going to sit in the car and crochet like his first wife! No way! I baited my own hook, cleaned them like this girl and outfished him more often than not. So this story pleased me greatly!

Some people are just born with this skill, it seems. Everyone has at least one fisherman or Fisher girl in their family. This is perfectly rhymed and the illustration is a nice touch.

So sister is a tom boy. I was one too but I didn't like fishing.. in my experience to earn the boy's respect you have to do things better than they did. It got me into a few scrapes I can tell you
