Very odd poem compared to your usual fare.. I don't know if you really needed a violence warning on this you don't really describe any thing violent..

Some feel murder is a violent act and it?s mention alone qualification for the warning.

That's it, no more parties for me. Especially if the invitation come from someone with the name L, Borgia or T. Bundy or say for instance J. Dahmer. I. Amin or heaven forbid, A. Hitler. Read your invitations carefully and then decide.

'Come into my parlor said the spider to the flies...' Wow - guess I should have looked closer at the pic there! ;) ;) A very well-presented 'twisted write', Sir Bill - certainly surprised this reader! ;); ) Thanx for sharing! Yvette

That very thing happened on an old "Murder She Wrote" episode. From your first stanza, it sounded like the party was off to a promising start. Leaves you wondering what went amiss with all the gore by the end of the evening. Maybe the hostess had planned it. Excellent rhyme. For me, the line might be a bit smoother if you reversed "soon" and "fallen." judi

This was a good read, Bill Schott. That was quite the party, wasn't it? The piece had a good flow to it and a nice bouncy rhyme scheme. Nice job and I look forward to more.
