I am delighted I could entertain you with this very short story, Yvette. Many thanks for sharing. Rod

I enjoyed this. You obviously had to think quick when she asked the question - and lucky it wasn't a joke that you then had to talk your way out of. Sometimes the cards fall our way.

Dear Writer,
Oh those people who packed the fruit basket, they took care of everything! Maybe Angela will reciprocate even more, at least that is what your main character hopes. (LOL) A good, positive, flash fiction piece.
Happy Valentines Day,
Winslow

Oh. He didn't see the card first? What a "surprise" but not for the trainer but the narrator who was just giving a nice thank you gift. Hope he's not married! Fun story!

Thank you so much for your praise of my shortie, lyenochka. You are the only reviewer so far who has caught the irony of the card.

This is so darn cute. I guess next time better check out the fruit basket for hidden card within. (Just kidding.) Good luck in the contest with this super entry. Marilyn

An expression of love comes in so many ways and says so many different things. It sounded as though this expression was meant quite differently than its intention but the love between family, the love between friends or the love people generously give to each other with a smile, a brief encounter or even a fruit basket. It's all good. :)

This sounds like a fruitful romance! He'd have been a bit daft not to have seen all those hearts scattered about in the basket. LOL An entertaining 50-word dash.

It must be early on in your personal training....after a while you scream as they make you do one more searing pain squat....so glad she agreed.
Lol
Soon you'll be a basket case
God bless

Well this certainly is a perfectly themed 50 word story entry. A basket of fruit for Valentines Day. A very healthy gift to give one's personal trainer. Let's hope it was shared... on their first date perhaps : -) Nice job on this entry. Good luck! ~DD
