First off I love rainbows ..I always get excited when one appears : they bring colour to a grey day

Also I see them as bears of good things to come

I read that according to Genesis, after Noah's flood God put the rainbow in the sky as the sign of His promise that He would never again destroy the earth with flood.

Yeah , I'm glad ..obviously poems can have more than one interpretation...One of the first reviewers though said that they understood I wrote about rainbow because I loved them...that's when I decided to add some insight in the note section and convey MY meaning.

There is a story in this brief poem of depth and mystery."and then he appeared"
is dramatic, an unexpected event--like the appearance of a rainbow. It is lovely
when read aloud.

After my share of harsh life (after so much rain)finally the man of my life appeared and brought joy into my life( ..he appeared -my rainbow).

That's one way of interpreting my wee poem .

I decided to explain in the note section what I had in mind though:
after my share of harsh times( after so much rain) finally the man of my life appeared and brought joy into my life ( and then he appeared: my rainbow).

It is meant to be a metaphor.

Obviously what so nice about poems is that they can have more than one interpretation depending on the reader's perception.
