Mike was a compass in so many ways.I certainly miss him. He was always the one to quickly come to me and cheer me up after a snotty review. Yes I find it in every thing I've ever joined it usually ends up being taken over by professionals. Recently I dropped out of an art guild that I went to be among fellow amateur painters, paid $45 a year to join because it was supposed to be for amateurs.

Thanks, mate. Seems my battle to post the truth has won out with reviewers. We are again on the same page as with many of the comments I have had in response to this Rant.

I have been a member off and on since 2012 it seems to me thing have gotten worse> I wish it were more like a critique site where we could Honestly read and review in a circle of like minded writers we have club for many writing types but nothing for reading and reviewing each otter's work. Isn't that what as writers would be most helpful.

Sanky, thanks so much for posting this. Yes Rob. I do find a lot of like-minded folks are doing for me as I do for them. Seems we can post stuff and as long as well review others' works they will do the same for us. Currently, I am paying for 2 accounts in order to get my wife's Trip book she wrote about our travels here in Australia. (Tootsie55) we did this back in 2015 as well but Tom's FIrewall system to stop people reviewing their own work (fair enough) also stopped husbands and wives (with both paid accounts) on same servers reviewing each other or BOTH reviewing anyone else's work. Tom has been a big help in a lot of ways but some things need changing and he is not keen on change.

Soory about that fat fingers on the key board. We now have just one accout because having two did not give us the privilages of two she could write but as you pointed out we could not review the same writers.

Thanks, friend. People often won't express what they are really feeling. As you get around here you get to know those of like mind. Mikey (Michael Cahill)was just that. We had so much in common it was a real buzz. Both not backward in coming forward for sure. Both tangent men and foot in mouth guys. If you need an explanation on either expression, let me know. I mentioned our tangent propensity in my poem about him and I have written a poem on the Foot in Mouth Man in my portfolio. Cheers.

My one thought is that poems might be judged by size so that we long-winded old geezeretts compete with each other and the ones who write wonderful short verse would, therefore, vie in their similar venue. I have great hopes for this site and hope you will find your way.

Hi, Sherry, I have a feeling we have met before. You are the 9th review for this Rant of mine. I hope you find all you need in here. I have been here for at least 5 years or perhaps more than that. Tom has been a big help in a lot of ways.

I don't think we have met before. I have only been here about 3 months. I write at many other sites though.

OK will check your stuff. I did read something of yours pretty sure. Might have been under Tootsie55 my wife's account, I run also that is a long story related to the tenor of my poem as well. Will share if you are interested, as well. why we quit that for some time too.
