My mom used to read "Mr. Nobody" to me when I was a kid, so I was delighted to read your clever version. When I first read of this contest I thought it too difficult to attempt. Kudos to you for putting in the time and brain power and coming up with something so well written. Good luck in the contest!

Oh, I'm so glad that there's at least a few folks out there that have heard of it -- a number of folks had not...so sad to have grown up without such a run and shady character - LOL! :) ;) This was my absolute favorite in elementary school and I never forgot it after I memorized it for a competition in second grade (okay, so I don't remember every word now - lol!). Thanx for the review -- take care and have a great evening! ;)

What a delightful lipogram. It certainly deserves six stars and I'm glad I have them to give. Your imagination in remixing this poem from the original is a chart-topper. Good job.

Wow, Stephanie! ;) You've just put a big smile on a tired lady's face -- thank you, ma'am!! :) ;) I am so very glad you enjoyed this one as it was total insanity that I will not be tackling again any time soon - LOL! ;) :) Thanx for stopping in for the review and for those bright, shiny stars!! ;) Take care and have a wonderful evening! ;);) Yvette :)

So cute! I think there was a Mr. Nobody in my house, too. This brought a smile to my face. Hard to imagine you could write this without the e's and a's! Thank you for sharing your well-crafted and clever poem.

Oh, do not worry, he is in everybody's house....but I guarantee he has things like sneaky and mischief with him unlike this crazy poem without e's and a's - LOL! ;) :) Thanx for dropping by for the read and review, Chris -- good to hear from you this evening! ;);) Take care and have a great week! ;) ;) Yvette

Ha ha ha ha . He is in every house with kids in it.. So I suspect at times he's a She and is Miss Nobody.....takes the socks ...they go missing
This was fun and the picture was perfect
God bless

Oh, yeah, definitely possible.....but both 'she' and 'her' have the dreaded e's in them - LOL! LOL! :) ;) Thanx so much for your review on this one, Jenny -- much appreciated, ma'am! ;) :) Take care and have a wonderful evening! ;) Yvette

I loved the sentiments here Yvette, the story is magical, the only thing I miss is the metre, it could improve the flow I believe, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

So much better, great flow now! Love Dolly x

Okay, O talented Bard -- took some time before my first class this morning to see what i could do with it....still not perfect (I've got a few more days), but does it look just a bit better? :) :) :) Be honest! Maybe I can look at it again tonight some time....thank you, Beautiful Lady! ;) ;) Yvette :)

This is so well done, Yvette. I really enjoyed reading all of the things you blame on Mr. Nobody. Creating this verse and using no... e or a... letter is really amazing and shows how cleverly talented you are. Good job and good luck.

Yeah, well, the meter was a real pain in the arse -- Dolly had to slap me around a bit -- but it mostly got there! ;) :) You guys are just much better formalist poets than I! ;) :) Thanx for the review, Melissa -- always good to hear from ya! ;) ;) You take care over there! ;) :) Yvette

A very well-written poem making use of all letters of the alphabet except a and e. You tell an excellent story of Mr Nobody in a kilogram poem style.

Yeah -- it will be the last time I leave out those letters -- that truly was an exercise in insanity (and using the thesaurus more than I had in YEARS!!) :) ;) ;) Glad I was able to impress you, ma'am -- just finishing it was a feat in itself - LOL! LOL! :) You take care over there and I look forward to hearing more about Ken! ;) ;) Yvette

I would be pulling my hair out with this one. And you say that you had fun? Wow! You were able to keep it going through so many verses.
I had never read the Mr. Nobody poem. I am glad that you introduced it to me. Your rendition, absent e's and a's, is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

So, late on this response, I know -- been a nutty day! But, I am finished until tomorrow...hooray! ;) ;) Thanx for the review on this one, MQ -- this was my very favorite poem in elementary school ... won a recitation contest with it in second grade so, I had to give it a try...spent probably waaaay too much time on this for a contest, but it really was a fun challenge! ;) ;) Thanx again for YOU! ;) ;) Yvette :)

What a skilful writer you are to have put together such an entertaining and whimsical story without using those letters. I am so glad that Mr Nobody does not live at my crib!

Thanx so much for the review and your lovely comments, Lisa -- this one took longer than I had originally planned, but it was a case of 'in for a penny, in for a pound' .... couldn't stop halfway through - LOL! ;) ;) Thanx for dropping by and take care out there! ;) :) Yvette :)
