This is an excellent little piece and play on words, author. You chose the perfect picture to accompany your well crafted 5-7-5. Thank you for jumping in my little contest. I wish you the best of luck in the voting. Have a great day.

These short poems are deceptively hard to do, but you have delivered. This is a fun poem with a great play on the word "sole". Good luck in the contest.

This is a clever poem that perfectly matches its challenge. Photo, of course, is ideal. But the poem itself is sheer delight. Well titled, as well. Great job! Good luck with the contest.

LOL, you've come up with a very different way of looking at Cinderella's mindset after the ball. So she was waiting for the prince? We knew she was undoubtedly disappointed. Good play on words, too-- "sole". LOL

Perhaps Cindy was truly a conniving lil' spider that just knew, from that first dance, that she had ol' Charming wrapped around her finger...and just wanted to show the rest of the town that too!! ;) ;) LOL! :) ;) You take care up there, Beautiful Lady! :) ;) Yvette :)

Great poem. This is extremely clever in its writing. It makes use of every syllable. The only suggestion I might have is changing the word "faded" to "fated". It uses the same kind of wordplay from the final line with "sole".

I enjoyed reading your fantasy poem on Cinderella. The excitement of the ball now fades away and her only hope is the handsome prince finding that the beautiful blue high heel belongs to her.
The visual you chose is magical. Thanks for sharing
your lovely poem.
Kind regards.

Hi Author,

What a great poem and contest entry!

I love the image of that glass slipper -- it really helps to convey your mesage.

And the last line is my favorite! Very nicely done.

Nothing out of place here to suggest improving upon.

Thank you for sharing your work and good luck in the contest.

I love the play on the word sole for soul. Very clever thinking of Cinderella related to midnight. Word choices such as enchantment and tatters made it interesting to read.
