This is the insomniac's mantra, isn't it?! Cool picture to accompany it - a tortured-looking, ethereal beauty. Well done! I hope you have success in the contest.

We do tend to keep ourselves awake at night with all kind of regrets - thanks for taking the time to read and share your insights.

Hello :)
This is a really good entry for the contest.
Totally relatable - things I haven't done that I need to do and things I need to say and haven't yet, play on my mind and make it so I can't sleep - definitely haunting!
Good luck in the voting booth!
Best wishes, Debra :)

I really like the unrest of emotion your little 5-7-5 evokes. It's true that we toss and turn when we leave words and deeds unsaid/undone. Nicely written. I hope you do well in the contest.

I really enjoyed this piece, unknown poet. I think you really captured the spirit of after midnight with this one. The artwork really worked as well. Good job and good luck in the contest.

This 5-7-5 describes a situation for many who find midnight to be the "darkest hour" because of what was said or not done earlier. As a result, your Speaker is having a sleepless night. Rod
