This is so true. . .our journey is to walk alone on earth and to rely only on God for guidance. But, I do have a contradiction because I also believe and know we are all connected and we are supposed to reach out to others with love and compassion. Guess this does fit. . .somehow. :)

This is a very well written poem about being alone. You used very good words and very good imagery from the art work. We are never alone if we trust God and know that His Holy Spirit is with us all the time. We may not have a lot of people around, but we have the Holy Spirit with us. I am alone, and not lonely also. There can be blessings to being alone. I do have my kitties, my caregiver and neighbors, but my greatest joy is being with my Savior and Creator. I cherish the hours alone when I can write and speak to my Lord in my heart. This is a wonderful poem and you will never be alone if you accept those here who care about you!

The subject of being alone, feeling alone, is well stated in your poem. I really connected with your words. As a young person when I was alone I felt a vacuum around me that was terrifying. Now that I'm 71, I find a lot of solace in my alone time.if only we could find that state in our youth we would make far less rash decisions in associations with people who are not looking after our best interest.

I live alone and organise my life so that I have plenty of things to do and the days go by in a flash and I never seem to have time to get everything done! I am rarely lonely.
