This tree-hugger 5-7-5, Reverence for Trees, has the right set up and seems to see irony in the mighty tree falling to create a way to remove a popcorn seed from one's teeth.

Yes, the truth about the consumer society... what gets sacrificed.
Thanks for your review Bill.

Great job on this verse about how trees end up demolished to toothpicks. This is a vivid and meaningful verse. Well done on crafting this excellent poem for the 5-7-5 Tree Hugger prompt. Good job.

A meaningful few words that go to the core of the problem when felling trees for human use and destroying our forests, a clever 5-7-5 and my favourite so far, poignant and well chosen words, love Dolly x

Thanks for your review Dolly. It sure upsets me to see beautiful trees cut down, especially in old growth forests, although I do acknowledge that there is a place for sustainable forests of douglas fir and pinus radiata for consumer products.
