Congratulations on your win and I know that sun feels good to him.
You have the right amount of syllables on each line.

Thank you for reviewing my poem. That smiling dog won it for me. All credit goes to him.

This 5-7-5, Aah, has the right set up and reflects the soothing feeling that direct sunlight can have on the general disposition of all.

Perfect words for that sweet expression on that puppy's face! Yes, it makes me "want to smile." That's a great ending line in the 5-7-5 and we all can wish for the smile in the sun these days!
Congratulations on the win!!!

Congratulations on your well-deserved first place finish, Debbie!
Not only does the illustration capture the dog's facial expression, but you did a wonderful job explaining it.
Hugs,
Don

Thank you, Yvette. No, that little fellow is not one of ours. He does look like the cocker spaniels that we used to own. They all did that lifting the head to the sun thing. I do it, too. Then I smile. Wish we had some sun today to smile at. I'm rambling, but it is nice to have a FanStory friend who shares my weather.
I enjoyed your rock and roll tribute, too. I could not get Peggy Sue out of my head yesterday. And, worse, somebody made a comment and I responded, "that'll be the day." See what you do to me.

Hooray! I keep you distracted and smiling! :) ;) So good to know I do have a positive impact - LOL! :) ;) You take care down there today -- open the windows! It's fresh air!! :) ;) Yvette :) ;)

What a terrific title for this poem and the image. It makes me cold thinking about snow up north but also warm and the wet nose of the puppy. Love the last line and the alliteration. Enjoyed reading it.

Thank you for mentioning my title. When I thought of it, I said "Ahah." Seriously. Then, I had to look up how to spell it. Aah or ahh? I kept thinking what a silly title, and I don't even know how to spell it. It was my favorite part of the poem though. I am so glad that you liked it, too.
I appreciate your nice review and your attention to details. So many people don't even look at the title, and I always labor over them.

Very nicely captured. The thought flows so smoothly. I think we can all relate to this scenario and your picture choice captures it perfectly... and you did make me smile!
