I so very much love this :) The artwork was a very good choice. I especially loved, 'Winter's hand lays heavily on burdened shoulders ~ the Earth remains subdued.' This is truly a beautiful rictameter poem!

Yes, in many respects I do love winter. The sky, the white covering the land and trees with the sun going down, give such a different perspective than the other seasons. The air is crisp, and for some of us, it is a wonderland. Nice poem and a nice read. Best wishes.

Honestly, your illustration made me review it!
But your verse perfectly matches the same.
especially like:
'long shadows' - reinforced by picture!
'winged night creatures ..."
how you satisfied the Rictameter pattern
Best wishes for your writing prompt entry.

Gorgeous artwork!! Makes my soul sing, as does your poetry. I see this is for a contest, so I can't know who you are. I wish you the best of luck in the contest and this is a wonderful entry.

You have managed to capture the essence of twilight, which is a time that I really love. And you did it within the confines of a rictameter. Your picture fit your poem beautifully. Good luck with the contest.

Your Welcome.
Comment from Pam (respa)
-Very nice image and presentation.
-The imagery paints a vivid
word picture of a wintry scene.
-I like the personification with "Winter's hand."
-Good concluding lines, as well.
-This line only has 7 syllables and needs 8.
-shoulders ~ the Earth is subdued
-Good luck in the contest.

Hello Mystery Poet,
Your Rictameter is exceptionally well=crafted. What a beautiful emotive and visual picture is created with your expressive word choices. Aside from dawn, twilight is my favorite time of each day - a time to gather in, if you will...
Thank you for this lovely offering; it truly resonated with me.
Always,
diane

This is a beautiful poem, and really captures that moment of the day. I can just see the bats coming out of the eaves. Great job! I wasn't familiar with a rictameter until yesterday, but this seems an elegant example.
