I'm not sure I understand your meaning related to the present and our borders. Do you mean we should just let any and all come into our country illegally, with the drug smugglers, human traffickers, murderers etc? Or am I misunderstanding you? I apologize if I am.
Are you saying prayer without a plan? Leave the whole thing up to God? Or with His guidance we can solve the border crisis?

Thank you for the review,
I'm not condoning any illegal activity. My point is there is already the above mentioned of Every stripe, and not coming in mass quantities by illegal in back packs, In and above us in other ports and methods in higher quantities.
Lands have been taken away from land owners on the border in the past for similar nefarious agendas.
I have faith God will sort all long term problems out see Revelations no fear mongering or monuments required.

He does let me choose what to do,
He does not practice to Decieve,
and I'm Sorry but, to Believe it's up to you!

Thank you for sharing this poem. There is a lot going on here, from a historical account of Native Americans, to current political themes, to religious proselytizing. I like your picture and find propaganda such as Columbia to be intriguing. Good luck with your contest entry!

I agree with your observations how Native Americans were treated. I guess that is something the Europeans passed on, to shove their beliefs down someone else's throat. Kind of like we tried in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I don't think a wall is the answer. On the other hand, I do think if you come here it is a duty to assimilate and become a citizen. Immigration isnt a problem just do it right. Why go through the hassle of getting to America and not embracing the culture?

Dear Anonymous Poet,
What an interesting poem. Yes, the lies are running rampant, and I never equated it to the treatment our forefathers received. I do believe that rational folks would never have allowed the things that happened to Native Americans to go on - if they weren't fed the information about 'savages.'
Good luck to you in the contest - your poem certainly tells a compelling story,
